Thirty-one police officers have been promoted to deputy inspector general (DIG) of police.
The Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday.
It will come into effect from the date of their joining, said the notification.
Meanwhile, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Commissioner Md Abu Sufiyan was promoted to deputy inspector general in Dhaka Police Headquarters, while Zillur Rahman, additional commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), was made the police commissioner of RMP.
