Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Palestine in Bangladesh Ziad MH Hamad paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan on Monday at the latter’s office of the university.
Treasurer of DU Prof Dr M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Provost of Shamsunnahar Hall Prof Dr Nasrin Sultana and Director of International Affairs Office Prof Dr Syeda Rozana Rashid were present on this occasion.
During the meeting, they exchanged views regarding various issues, including admission of Palestinian students at Dhaka University as well as granting scholarships to them.
Palestinian diplomat sought cooperation from DU authorities in providing scholarships as well as waiver of tuition fees to Palestinian students.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan assured the diplomat of providing all possible support in this regard.
