The Dhaka District Administration has announced emergency financial assistance for the medical treatment of those injured during the 5.7 magnitude earthquake on Friday morning.
Each injured person will receive up to Tk15,000 Bangladeshi.
Dhaka District Commissioner Md Rezaul Karim shared this information in a special press release on Friday.
According to the announcement, individuals who live in Dhaka or came to Dhaka for work and were injured during Friday’s earthquake-related incidents will be eligible for this government assistance. However, a recommendation from the attending physician is required to receive the financial aid.

The injured person—or an attendant or close relative present at the hospital on their behalf—can contact the district administration’s control room to receive this support.

The district administration has also requested that this message be conveyed to patients injured in the earthquake who are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals in Dhaka, as well as to their families.
