Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has been deployed to maintain law and order in Dhaka and three other districts.
BGB spokesperson Md Shariful Islam confirmed the information on Sunday.
He said BGB personnel are carrying out duties to ensure overall security and stability in Dhaka, Gopalganj, Faridpur and Madaripur.
Notably, over the past week, miscreants have detonated crude explosives in several areas of the capital. Incidents of arson attacks on buses in different parts of Dhaka and on various highways have also been reported. In this situation, alongside other law enforcement agencies, BGB is working on the ground to help restore normalcy and maintain public order.
