Miscreants set fire to a bus on Mirpur Road in front of LabAid Hospital in Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
The incident occurred around 7:20pm on Monday, targeting a bus of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology near the hospital’s emergency gate.
Confirming the incident, Duty Officer Khaleda Yasmin of the Fire Service Headquarters told Dhaka Tribune that two units were dispatched after receiving the news around 7:30pm. Further details are not yet known.
Eyewitnesses reported that at around 7:20pm, the bus suddenly caught fire in front of LabAid Hospital’s emergency gate.
Passengers and nearby people immediately moved to safety, causing panic in the area.
