Awami League leader and former industries minister Md Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Monday morning.
He breathed his last at 8:10am, according to hospital sources.
Jail officials said Humayun fell ill inside Keraniganj Central Jail around 5:40pm on Saturday. He was admitted to Ward 602 of DMCH and later shifted to the ICU at the hospital’s old building as his condition deteriorated.
