Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 7.4%, reaching $1,642 million in the first 20 days of August, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued on Thursday.
Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $1,530 million.
During the July 2025 to August 20, 2025, of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $4,120 million, which was only $3,443 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
