The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes in all divisions, including Dhaka, of the country in 24 hours from 9am on Wednesday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely in many places in Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions and in a few places in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, with moderately heavy to heavy falls in places in Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions, says a met office update.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged, according to the BMD.
All maritime ports have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal No 3 during the period.
The country’s highest temperature, 35.5 degrees Celsius, was recorded in Feni on Tuesday, while the lowest temperature on Wednesday, 24.3 degrees Celsius, was recorded in Tangail.
