FFWC: Water levels rise at 68 river stations, fall at 17

The water level of all major rivers is flowing below the danger level, says the FFWC

Water levels at 97 river stations monitored by the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked a rise while 17 have recorded a fall.

Among the 116 monitored river stations, water levels at two stations have remained steady and water levels at all rivers flowed below the danger level, the FFWC said in a bulletin issued on Tuesday. 

The water level of all major rivers is flowing below the danger level, the centre said, adding the water level of the Brahmaputra and Jamuna rivers is decreasing, which may continue for the next five days and may flow below the danger level.

The water level of the Ganges River is decreasing, which may continue for the next day and may remain stable for the next four days. The water level of the Padma River is also decreasing, which may continue for the next five days and may flow below the danger level.

The water level of the Surma and the Kushiyara rivers is decreasing, which may continue for the next three days and may flow below the danger level.
