The Martyr, Revolutionary, and Patriot Memorial Council held a demonstration in memory of Comrade Basavaraj in Shahbagh on Saturday.
President of the organisation, Comrade Hasan Fakri said: “Through Operation Kagar, the government of India has killed hundreds of people, committed rapes, tortured many, and brutally murdered children.”
"The aim of the Indian state is to carry out destruction through Operation Kagar. The oppressed people are being left without leadership. Forests, lands, and resources of the people are being handed over to multinational corporations,” he added.
“Without Maoism, it is not possible to destroy imperialism and capitalism,” he further added.
The demonstrators also paid floral tribute in front of Comrade Basavaraj’s portrait.
Bhashani Parishad Secretary Dr Harunur Rashid, Jatiyo Gonotantrik Gonomocho President Masud Khan, Jatiyo Gonotantrik Gonomorcha Member Kanon Chakraborti, and The Martyr, Revolutionary, and Patriot Memorial Council Secretary Tomizuddin, among others, also joined the demonstration.
