Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam on Wednesday said that the Bangladesh Police are committed to performing their professional duties while upholding human rights.
“Bangladesh Police are fully aware of the importance of safeguarding human rights while enforcing the law, with a focus on transparency and accountability,” he said during a courtesy call by a high-level, three-member delegation from the Robert F Kennedy Human Rights Organization, at the Police Headquarters.
During the meeting, they discussed the human rights situation in Bangladesh and other relevant issues, according to a press release issued by the Police Headquarters.
