A total of 40,608 Bangladeshis have reached Saudi Arabia to perform the holy Hajj this year so far.
The information was confirmed in the Hajj 2025 Daily Bulletin published on the Hajj portal on Monday.
Of the total pilgrims who have reached Saudi Arabia, 4,583 travelled under government management, while 36,025 went under private arrangements.
The pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia on 101 flights from Bangladesh. Of these, 51 were operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 34 by Saudia, and 16 by Flynas. Biman Bangladesh Airlines transported 20,514 pilgrims, Saudia carried 13,336, and Flynas flew 6,758.
This year, a total of 87,100 Bangladeshis are expected to travel to Saudi Arabia for Hajj. Of them, 5,200 will perform Hajj under government management, and 81,900 under private management. A total of 86,213 visas have been issued; 100 percent of the government quota has received visas, while the private quota has reached 99 percent.
As of now, six Bangladeshi pilgrims have died—five men and one woman. The deceased are: Md Khalilur Rahman, 70, from Pangsa in Rajbari; Fariduzzaman, 57, from Bajitpur in Kishoreganj; Al Hamida Banu, 54, from Sadar in Panchagarh; Md Shahjahan Kabir, 60, from Mohammadpur in Dhaka; and Hafez Uddin, 73, from Bokshiganj in Jamalpur and Boyez Uddin from Nilphamari.
Return Hajj flights will begin on June 10 and end on July 10.
