A total of 37,830 Bangladeshi pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia so far to perform the Hajj this year, according to the bulletin published on the Hajj portal on Saturday morning.
Of them, 4,564 pilgrims travelled under government management while 33,266 were under private arrangements.
Out of the 94 flights operated to date, Biman Bangladesh Airlines operated 46, Saudia operated 32, and Flynas operated 16.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines carried 18,489 pilgrims, while Saudia transported 12,583, and Flynas 6,758.
This year, 87,100 Bangladeshi pilgrims are scheduled to perform Hajj. Among them, 5,200 will travel under government management and 81,900 under private arrangements.
So far, 77,372 visas have been issued for Bangladeshi pilgrims.
Return flights are scheduled to begin on June 10, and the final return flight is set for July 10.
According to the bulletin, five Bangladeshi pilgrims have died during this year’s Hajj journey.
