The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Saturday forecast rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind in some districts across eight divisions for the next 120 hours, commencing from 9am.
"Rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at a few places over Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barisal divisions," the BMD bulletin said.
A trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas, while a seasonal low lies over the South Bay, the BMD release added.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country.
Meanwhile, rainfall activity may decrease and temperatures may rise further, according to the Met Office's outlook for the next five days.
On Saturday, sunset will be at 6:21pm, while Sunday's sunrise will be at 5:34am in the capital.
The country's maximum temperature was recorded on Friday at 34.0°C in both Khepupara under Barisal division and Khulna district under Khulna division.
Minimum temperature was recorded on Saturday at 19.8°C in Tetulia under Rangpur division, according to a BMD release signed by meteorologist Dr Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik.
