A mild heat wave is sweeping Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Khulna, Bagerhat, Patuakhali and Rangamati and it may continue, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
Rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely at one or two places over Khulna & Sylhet divisions in 24 hours commencing 9am on Saturday, according to the BMD.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, the bulletin said.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
Trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area as seasonal low lies over the South Bay, the bulletin said.
Country’s highest temperature was recorded in Khulna’s Mongla at 36.8°C on Saturday.
