The Meteorological Department reported that a low-pressure system's extended portion is spread over West Bengal and the surrounding areas, while the usual seasonal low-pressure system is situated in the southern Bay of Bengal.

Among the 22 districts affected by the heatwave, temperatures recorded include: 36°C in Badalgachi, Naogaon; 36.2°C in Bogra; 36.5°C in Barisal and Patuakhali; 37°C in Kumarkhali of Kushtia, Sreemangal, and Narayanganj; 37.2°C in Mongla; 37.5°C in Satkhira and Manikganj's Aricha; 37.8°C in Dhaka; 38°C in Koyra and Tangail; 38.2°C in Gopalganj; 38.3°C in Faridpur; 38.4°C in Khulna and Rajshahi; 38.5°C in Chuadanga; 38.8°C in Ishwardi, Pabna; and 39°C in Baghabari, Rajshahi.

The weather forecast from 9am Monday for the next 24 hours indicates that the weather will remain dry across the country with partially cloudy skies.

The daytime temperature is expected to remain nearly unchanged, and the nighttime temperature may rise by one to two degrees Celsius.

The forecast for Tuesday suggests that the weather will generally remain dry across the country, with some temporary cloud cover. However, there is a chance of brief thunderstorms with lightning or rain in one or two places in the Sylhet division.

The daytime temperature may slightly decrease, while the nighttime temperature is expected to remain nearly the same.
