Road Transport and Bridges Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan has said Eid travel this year has been the most comfortable in the last 20 years.

"The smooth Eid journeys this time were a result of the combined efforts of various government agencies," Fouzul said while visiting the Gabtoli bus terminal in the capital on Sunday.

He said: "As you know, and it has been mentioned on social media, this year’s Eid travel has been the most comfortable in the last 20 years. In the past, people could not return home this easily. This has been made possible by the joint efforts of various government agencies."

He continued: "We have worked as a government, not as individual departments. The Roads and Highways Department, BRTA, Ministry of Local Government, police, and all parties concerned have worked together. The role of transport workers and owners was also extraordinary. We worked together, and that is why this organized Eid journey has been possible."

BRTA Chairman Mohammed Yasin added: "We are working together for the country's interest. Magistrates are appointed at each terminal, and vigilance teams are active. If there are any complaints of overcharging, immediate action is being taken."
