The BNP on Monday announced a two-day program to celebrate Independence Day on March 26 (Wednesday).
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi disclosed the details at a press conference held at the party’s central office in Nayapaltan.
As part of the program, senior BNP leaders will pay tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War by placing a wreath at the National Mausoleum in Savar at 8:30am on the day.
Later, they will place wreaths at the grave of late BNP founder Ziaur Rahman in Sher-e-Banglanagar, Dhaka, to commemorate the occasion.
A doa mahfil will also be held there, organized by the Jatiyatabadi Ulema Dal.
Additionally, the party will host the national and party flags atop all its offices, including the central office, in the morning.
On Tuesday, BNP will hold a discussion at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh.
The party’s city, district, upazila, and municipality units across the country, along with its associate bodies, will also observe the day with various programs.
