Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has urged the two specialized police units—Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Armed Police Battalion (APBn)—to work with a public service mindset.
He made the call during a visit to the RAB and APBn headquarters on Saturday morning.
Faisal Hasan, director (public relations) at the Ministry of Home Affairs, confirmed this.
During the visit, the adviser inquired about the activities of both forces and instructed senior officials to ensure proper housing, food, and other necessary facilities for their subordinate personnel.
He also urged the members of both forces to work with a commitment to public service.
Senior officials from both units were present on the occasion.
