A mild heatwave is lashing parts of the country and may continue, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
"A mild heat wave is sweeping through Dhaka, Faridpur, Manikganj, Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Rangamati, Khulna, Bagerhat, Jessore, Chuadanga, and Patuakhali, and it may persist," said a Met office bulletin on Monday.
Additionally, the BMD has predicted rain, thundershowers, and lightning flashes in five divisions of the country.
"Rain, thundershowers, or lightning flashes, accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds, are likely at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, and Sylhet divisions, with hail at isolated locations," the bulletin added.
The weather is expected to remain mainly dry with a temporarily partly cloudy sky elsewhere across the country.
Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged throughout the country.
