The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh and SpaceX on Sunday discussed the possibility of launching satellite-based internet services by Starlink at all airports in Bangladesh.
The discussion took place between the chairman of CAAB, Air Vice Marshal Md Manjur Kabir Bhuiyan, and SpaceX Global Engagement Consultant Richard H Griffiths at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
CAAB Public Relations Officer Kausar Mahmud said the discussion covered the potential introduction of Starlink’s internet services at airports, improving passenger services, and future cooperation.
During the meeting, the CAAB Chairman thanked the SpaceX representative for visiting Bangladesh and expressed optimism about strengthening cooperation on this matter.
Earlier, on February 14, Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus had a phone conversation with SpaceX founder Elon Musk. During the call, they discussed the necessity of launching Starlink’s services in Bangladesh and the urgency of its implementation.
