The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted on Monday that rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at one or two places in the Rangpur and Sylhet divisions, while dry weather is expected to prevail elsewhere in the country for the next 24 hours.
A trough of low pressure lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas, while a seasonal low is present over the South Bay.
Light to moderate fog may occur in some areas across the country from late night to early morning, according to the BMD.
Night temperatures may rise slightly, while day temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country.
The highest temperature in the country on Monday was recorded at 33.2 °C in Bandarban, while the lowest temperature was 11.0 °C in Dimla.
In the capital, the sun will set at 5:55pm on Tuesday and rise at 6:29am on Wednesday.
