The CID Crime Scene Unit has arrived at Dhanmondi 32 to collect evidence from the demolished house.
The team reached the site at 8am on Monday.
A team from Dhanmondi police station has been deployed to assist them.
The CID team also brought equipment for evidence collection.
Earlier, on February 5, enraged students and citizens demolished Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s house at Dhanmondi 32 following an online speech by former prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
The protesters then gathered at a nearby under-construction building, where they discovered multiple basement levels.
While they managed to descend two floors, they found water on the next, leading to speculation about more floors below.
This fueled widespread discussions about the house’s basement.
To investigate further, firefighters began pumping out water from the basement on Sunday morning.
They completed the task and left the site at around 1:15pm.
