Claims circulating on Facebook that the Director General (DG) of the Special Security Force (SSF) sheltered accused Ali Hussain Shishir in his apartment have been dismissed as fabricated by the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing Facts.
As per CA's Press Wing Facts, on Saturday, a statement from a spokesperson of SSF said that Hussain had rented the DG’s flat, introducing himself as a garment factory owner of Narsingdi.
The spokesperson said: “A legal tenant agreement was signed with him on valid documentation.”
The spokesperson added: “The question of sheltering a crime accused in his home does not arise. When police came to arrest him at around 03:45am on Saturday, the DG had asked them to take him away and take necessary action as per laws. The posts are totally fabricated and twisted.
"It is a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of the DG SSF as well as the Bangladesh Army without any inquiry. This is an irresponsible act,” the spokesperson said in the statement.
