Ashraful Islam, a CNG-driven auto-rickshaw driver injured in the anti-discrimination movement, has been taken to Thailand for advanced treatment.
On Thursday, around 9:45pm, an air ambulance carrying Ashraful Islam left Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Thailand.
The interim government and the Ministry of Health have arranged for his treatment at Vejthani Hospital in Thailand.
Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, Senior Information Officer of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, said that among the injured in the movement, a total of 13 individuals, including Ashraful, have been sent abroad for treatment so far.
Two of them were sent to Singapore for treatment, and the rest have been sent to Thailand.
