Sarjis Alam, the central coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, has said that Bangladesh has endured 15 years of fascist and mafia rule, with the people united in their struggle to end the Hasina government's authoritarian regime

He made this statement at a program featuring leaflets distribution and street meeting to generate public support for the July Revolution Proclamation by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement as part of public outreach in Bhola on Friday morning.

Sarjis Alam also spoke about the need for a strong commitment to the proclamation to ensure the trial of the Awami killers and their associates.

He further said that the people of Bangladesh demanded the trial of the fascist murderer, Hasina, as the priority in the declaration of the mass uprising.

Sarjis Alam also said: "The most important thing is that the proclamation must clearly state the punishment and trial for those responsible for the killings and bloodshed, including the murderer Hasina.”

He added: “We have spoken to people from all walks of life, and they have expressed solidarity with us, stating that our seven demands are justified."

He also said: "The proclamation must highlight the sacrifices of the working-class people in every district and upazila. It should not be just the words of a few individuals."

"Murderer Hasina has established a syndicate in Gopalganj, and her family has set up syndicates in various places, depriving the people of their rights. The people of Bengal want to end these syndicates and see a Bangladesh of equality," said Sarjis.

He continued: "Under the banner of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, students and the public are united in driving the murderer Sheikh Hasina out of Bangladesh and sending her to India. The name of this banner, representing a major uprising, should be mentioned in the proclamation."

"We hope that the July proclamation, which includes the seven logical demands, will be implemented by the state as soon as possible,” added Sarjis.

He further said: “These demands include national recognition for the martyrs of the people's uprising, free medical treatment for the injured, the trial of the Awami killers and their associates, and a clear mention of the leadership of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement."

Earlier, he distributed leaflets in support of the July proclamation and its seven demands at various locations, including Bhola Bangla School Corner, Sadar Road, and Notun Bazar areas.
