The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has announced a reduction in gold prices in the country’s market.
Every bhori of gold will cost Tk1,248 less than before, effective from Tuesday.
As a result of the price reduction, the price of high-quality 22-carat gold will be Tk139,338 per bhori, down from the previous Tk140,586.
Meanwhile, 21-carat gold will be sold at Tk133,005 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk114,004 and traditional gold at Tk93,604.
Earlier, the price of gold was reduced on December 14.
However, a price increase was announced again on Wednesday.
