Nur Khan Liton, a member of the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances, said the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), which is notorious as a killer force, has no place in society.
“They are incapable of serving the people,” he said at the Lalon Shah Mukta Mancha in Rajshahi city, during a public gathering on Saturday.
The event was organized by the victims' association “Mayer Dak”.
Nur Khan also pointed out the structural issues within law enforcement, saying: “Police work should remain within the police’s jurisdiction. Involving the military in policing has only created new complications.”
