Dr Mohammad Abdul Momen has resigned from his post as the senior secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
He submitted his resignation letter to the president on Tuesday, according to an official from his office.
According to sources, after submitting the resignation letter, he went to the office of the chief adviser.
The source mentioned that there has been some discussion about appointing him as the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
On August 18, he was appointed on a contractual basis as the senior secretary of the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Later, he was also given additional responsibility as the senior secretary of the Security Service Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs
