BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has emphasized the inevitable triumph of truth over propaganda and conspiracy, instilling faith that, eventually, justice and fairness will prevail.
He made the statement in a Facebook post on Sunday after getting acquitted from August 21 grenade attack case and two sedition cases in Sylhet.
Tarique called on the people of Bangladesh to unite to end political vengeance and open a new chapter in the nation’s history, where no one’s life or family is destroyed because of political differences.
The BNP leader reiterated his pledge to uphold the spirit of democracy, emphasizing the importance of diversity in faiths, beliefs, and ideologies.
He stressed the need to empower the people of Bangladesh to define their future through active electoral participation, ensuring that every citizen has a voice in the political process.
Earlier in the day, the High Court acquitted all the accused, including former Home Minister Lutfozzaman Babar, who was sentenced to death, and BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, who was sentenced to life imprisonment, in the murder and explosives case related to the August 21 grenade attack.
