Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light rain at one or two places over Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions in 24 hours commencing 9am.
“Light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions and weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country,” said a regular bulletin of Met office on Saturday.
Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may fall by 1-2°C across the country.
Additionally, the deep depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and the adjoining area has moved northwestwards and intensified into a cyclonic storm, named "Fengal." As of 6am Saturday, it lies in the same area.
The storm is expected to continue moving in a northwesterly direction and may cross the North Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coast later in the evening.
Its associated trough extends up to the North Bay.
The highest temperature recorded in the country on Friday was 34.0°C in Sitakunda, while the lowest was 10.3°C in Tetulia, Panchagarh, till 6am on Saturday.
