A blaze broke out on level-6 of at Bashundhara City shopping mall in Dhaka's Panthapath area around 11:23am on Sunday, [August 21, 2016].
A total of 29 firefighting units were working to douse the flames, till posting the video.
Seven to eight shops in the C-block on level-6 have been completely damaged among nearly 100 shops that have been affected by the fire.
Most people in the market were evacuated in the wake of the fire breaking out.
However, at first eight among the people who were trapped on the roof of the mall were rescued by the fire fighters and around 4:25pm 11 more were rescued from there.
One of the trapped people had to be taken to the hospital.
Major Shakil Newaz, director (operations) of fire service, lately said the fire was largely under control. Their operation to douse the fire was underway.
