Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad has demanded the resignation of President Mohammed Shahabuddin and a ban on Awami League and Chhatra League.
The press conference was held at Madhur Canteen of Dhaka University on Wednesday.
Bin Yamin Mollah, president of Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad, made the demand at the press conference.
At the press conference, he said: "The question now arises in our minds, are our advisers walking on the path of rehabilitation of Awami League? We, the students of Dhaka University, are worried about our safety. We have information that the Awami League and Chhatra League terrorists are planning to destabilize the DU campus, even they are planning to kill and attack the leaders of different organizations. Therefore, they should be banned immediately.”
He further said that this mass upsurge did not follow any law, this mass upsurge did not follow any constitution; If it is necessary to declare this constitution suspended to save this uprising, then so be it. But this Awami League and Chhatra League cannot be rehabilitated. This government has to understand the language of the people.”
