Bangladesh Chhatra Kalyan Parishad has issued an ultimatum to increase maximum age limit 35 for government jobs.
The organization has called for significant reforms in government job recruitment, advocating for an increase in the maximum age limit for applicants to 35 years, aligning with international standards.
This demand was presented during a press conference held at the Dhaka University Journalists Association office on Friday afternoon.
Muzammel Miyaji, the spokesperson for the organization, alongside Chief Coordinator Suraiya Yasmin, outlined their key demands.
They emphasized the need to raise the age limit for job applications to 35 years and insisted that application fees should be waived entirely.
Additionally, they called for a more expedited and reformed recruitment process, urging the government to take effective measures to eradicate bribery and corruption in recruitment practices.
Chhatra Kalyan Parishad issued an ultimatum to the current government, demanding that their proposals be accepted and a formal notification issued within one week.
During the press conference, the leaders clarified that neither the Chhatra League nor the '35 Coordination Council' is associated with their organization, stating, "We believe in non-violent and peaceful movement."
