The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested two former lawmakers in Dhaka and Chittagong districts in cases filed over attacks on students and the general public during recent student-led protests.
RAB personnel apprehended Rouf, former MP for Kushtia-4, in the capital city's Mirpur area early on Wednesday, while Ekramul, ex-lawmaker for Noakhali-4, in Khulshi of Chittagong late on Tuesday, sources at RAB’s media and legal wing said.
Both of the former MPs are set to be produced in court.
