Two men were hacked to death in the capital’s Mohammadpur on Friday evening over establishing dominance.
The incident took place in the Rayer Bazar area around 7pm.
The deceased have been identified as Nasir, 30 and Munna, 22.
Nasir died at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital while Munna died while undergoing treatment at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital.
Mohammadpur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Iftekhar said no case has been filed yet in connection with the two deaths. However, a case will be filed soon, and preparations are being made in this regard.
“The relatives of the deceased along with our force are working to collect the names and addresses of those involved. There are seven to eight cases against Munna. There was no immediate information about Nasir. The cause of the two killings is under investigation,” he added.
