Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained Syed Mosharraf Hossain, former organizing secretary of Awami League Shahbagh thana unit, on Friday.
Syed Mosharraf Hossain was arrested from the Dhaka's Adabar area, said ASP Imran Khan of RAB Headquarters (media wing).
He was arrested in connection with the attack and firing during the student movement and the attack on former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia's convoy, vandalism, and attempted murder on April 20, 2015, added the official.
