The organization Youth for Policy will host an event on Tuesday to present the demands of Bangladeshi youth.
The event titled “Youth Manifesto 24 for Anti-Discrimination Bangladesh” will be held from 10:30am to 1pm at Hotel Bengal Blueberry in Dhaka.
After the recent student movement, young volunteers of Youth for Policy from various parts of the country organized 20 discussion meetings in 18 districts, where over 500 young volunteers provided their opinions on the reconstruction of Bangladesh.
The youth discussed demands including educational curriculum reform, proper treatment for injured protesters, freedom of expression, judicial independence, effective environmental laws, and easier loan facilities for entrepreneurs.
In this context, these youth are coming to Dhaka to present the “Youth Manifesto 24” consolidating their demands.
Mannan Abdullahi and Umama Fatema, two student movement coordinators, and Dr Mohammad Tanzimuddin Khan, DU teacher and member of the University Teachers Network, among others, have expressed their consent to be present and discuss these demands.
