Supreme Court Advocate Mohammad Tazul Islam has been appointed as the chief prosecutor with the status of Attorney General to conduct the cases of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT).
Four prosecutors were also appointed according to section 7 of the International Crimes (Tribunal) Act, 1973.
A gazette notification was issued on Saturday by the law ministry.
Advocate Md Mizanul Islam was appointed as prosecutor with the status of addition attorney general while Advocate Gazi Monawar Hossain Tamim and Advocate BM Sultan Mahmud appointed as prosecutor with the status of deputy attorney general.
Besides, Advocate Abdullah Al Noman was appointed as prosecutor with the status of assistant attorney general.
