Two murder cases have been filed against 114 individuals, including former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, in connection with the deaths of Miraz Hossain in Sanarpar, Demra, and Mansur Mia, a machine operator at Buriganga Filling Station in Basila, Mohammadpur, during the anti-discrimination student movement in Dhaka.

A case was filed by plaintiff Khorshed Alam Mia in Dhaka's Metropolitan Magistrate Belal Hossain's court, accusing 92 people of the murder of Miraz Hossain.

The court directed the Demra police to register the complaint as an FIR (First Information Report).

In the Miraz murder case, it was alleged that on August 5, Miraz participated in the anti-discrimination student movement.

When he reached Sanarpar Main Road in Demra, several hundred members of the Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League, and Krishak League, armed with traditional weapons, joined forces with law enforcement and RAB to attack the protesters.

Shots were fired, and Miraz, along with several others, was hit. Miraz was later pronounced dead at Sir Salimullah Medical College.

The other case was filed in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury, accusing 22 individuals.

The case was filed by Aynal Haque, the brother of Mansur Mia.

The court directed the Mohammadpur police to accept the complaint as an FIR.

According to the allegations in Mansur's murder case, on July 19, during the quota reform movement, Mansur Mia was on his way to pick up his child from a madrasa near Basila Bridge in Mohammadpur.

He was shot by police and RAB forces and later pronounced dead by doctors at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
