A committee has been established to revise the uniform and logo of the Bangladesh Police.
The committee was formed on Monday, according to a memorandum from the Health, Welfare, and Pension Branch of the Police Headquarters.
The 10-member committee has been instructed to submit its report within seven working days, the memorandum stated.
Mohammad Ataul Kibria, additional deputy inspector general (DIG-Logistics) of Police Headquarters, will chair the committee, with Md Nuruzzaman, additional superintendent (Logistics) of Police Headquarters, serving as the member secretary.
According to the memorandum, an exchange meeting was held in the Ministry of Home Affairs conference room on August 11, presided over by Home Affairs Adviser Brigadier General (retd) M Sakhawat Hossain.
Following detailed discussions, the meeting decided on changes to the colour of the Bangladesh Police uniform and the introduction of a new logo.
The committee has been tasked with preparing a proposal for the revisions to the existing uniforms and logos for all police units.
