Bangladesh's interim government has appointed a lawyer to free 57 Bangladeshi expatriate workers who were jailed for supporting the Anti-Discrimination Movement in Bangladesh.
This information was confirmed through a notice signed by Muhammad Mizanur Rahman, chief of Mission of the United Arab Emirates on Monday.
According to the notice, the Bangladesh government has appointed lawyer Wolora Afrin Rasna to free 57 Bangladeshis jailed for the Dubai protests.
Meanwhile, the Foundation for Law and Development (FLOOD) has started providing legal assistance to these workers before the lawyer was hired.
Expatriate Bangladeshis protested in Dubai on July 19 in solidarity with the movement in Bangladesh.
