Arson attacks have targeted police stations, government buildings, the residences of Awami League leaders, and various business establishments across the nation.
These incidents have resulted in the deaths of several policemen and Awami League activists, as well as ordinary citizens.
In Dhaka, two individuals set fire to the memorial house of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Popular singer Rahul Anand's house was also destroyed in the attacks, including his musical instruments. Additionally, numerous sculptures, including those in Dhaka, have been vandalized.
Meanwhile, the people involved in the film industry have expressed their anger over the attack and vandalism in the cinema hall. Producer Debashish Biswas, Ananya Mamun posted on social media expressing their anger.
Expressing his anger, Debashish Biswas said: "It is not at all acceptable that the cultural arena of the country is being attacked and vandalized. The cinema hall has been vandalized, who has harmed the cinema? Cinema is not only entertainment; cinema is a portrait of society. There is no point in vandalizing cinema halls.”
Filmmaker Anonno Mamun said: “It was such a big blow just when my country's films started to turn around. Today new audiences have started coming to watch movies because of Cineplex. We dream of making big budget films. Rajshahi Hi-Tech Park was looted overnight on August 5, Cineplex was vandalized. Even the commode in the washroom, the water tap was not spared.”
