Three councilors’ offices, police box vandalized in Barisal

All the furniture were vandalized, thrown onto the street, and set on fire

Protesters vandalized a police box and three councilors' offices in Barisal city on Monday. 

Furthermore, important documents from the councilors' offices were vandalized, taken to the road, and set on fire. The councilors confirmed the incidents on Sunday night and Monday morning.

Barisal City Corporation Ward No 12 Councilor Anwar Hossain Royal said that agitators vandalized the office of Ward Councilor No 13 on C&B Road in the city on Sunday night. They then moved towards the Amtala Mor area of the city. 

Upon hearing this, Councilor Royal headed to his office to secure important documents. However, before he arrived, the agitators attacked the councilor's office at the Amtala intersection. All the furniture in the office was vandalized, thrown onto the street, and set on fire, and important documents were also burnt.

Councilor Royal reported that not only was his office vandalized, but the traffic police box opposite it was also damaged by the agitators. 

Similarly, the office of Councilor Israt Jahan Lovely, who represents the reserved women's ward (Wards 13, 14, and 15) on Jumir Khan Road in Barisal city, was vandalized. Councilor Lovely said that her entire office was demolished, and all furniture and papers were taken to the street and set on fire.

It should be noted that earlier, the office of Awami League Ward No. 13, located next to C&B Road in the city, was vandalized, with furniture thrown onto the road and set on fire. 

In the afternoon of the previous day, another police box and a car were vandalized in the Chaumatha area of the city.
