Jagannath University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Sadeka Halim visited the hospital to see Al Amin, a student of the Law Department of the 2022-23 academic year at Jagannath University, who was injured in the quota reform movement.
The VC went to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital to inquire about the physical condition of the student under treatment at 11am on Thursday.
Dr Sadeka Halim said that she has instructed the doctors to take necessary measures for the advanced treatment of the injured student, Al Amin. The university will cover all expenses related to his treatment.
“So far, 16 students, including five who were shot, have been admitted to the hospital due to injuries. The university has been continuously monitoring their condition and covering the costs of their treatment,” she added.
Along with her, University Proctor Professor Dr Jahangir Hossain, Director of Public Relations Tanvir Ahsan, and Director of Extracurricular Activities Dr Md Abdul Malak were also present there.
On July 29, the university administration issued a notification assuring cooperation to students who were harassed.
They also confirmed the medical expenses of the injured students.
