The government offices will work from 11am to 3pm on Wednesday and Thursday, the Public Administration Ministry said on Tuesday.
Earlier, the government declared general holiday on Sunday and Monday. Later, the government extended the general holiday till Tuesday.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said the curfew in Dhaka and adjacent three districts—Narayanganj, Narsingdi and Gazipur—will remain in force on Wednesday and Thursday with a relaxed period from 10am to 5pm.
Curfew timings in other districts are to be determined by respective deputy commissioners.
Meanwhile, banks will resume operations from 11am Wednesday while the activities of country’s Dhaka Stock Exchange will continue from 11am-2pm.
Trading through the country’s major ports will resume activities in full swing from Wesnesday. Limited operations, however, began the day before.
According to a letter of the Bangladesh Bank sent to the managing directors of all scheduled banks, the banks will be reopened as per the government-declared office hours.
However, according to the letter, some specific branches will be opened with limited services.
