Where will it rain in Bangladesh on Monday?

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers in all divisions including Dhaka in 24 hours commencing 9am on Monday.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chittagong divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chittagong divisions,” said a met office update.

The country’s highest 94mm rainfall was recorded in Habiganj in 24 hours till 6am on Monday.

However, a mild heatwave is sweeping the Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajgonj, Jessore and Chuadanga districts and it may continue.

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, according to the BMD.

The country’s highest temperature was recorded in Rajshahi at 38°C over the past 24 hours till 6am Monday while the lowest temperature was recorded in Bandarban at 24°C on Monday.

Meanwhile, a trough of low lies over West Bengal to Northwest Bay. Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
