Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali on Thursday proposed to remain unchanged the tax-free income limit to Tk3.5 lakh for individual taxpayers for FY25.
“I propose to keep the existing tax-free income limits of general individual taxpayers, firms and Hindu undivided families unchanged for the financial year 2024-25,” he said.
Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali on Thursday unveiled a Tk797,000 crore proposed national budget for the 2024–25 fiscal year in the national parliament.
The current tax-exempt earnings limit for women and individuals aged 65 and above is Tk4 lakh, individuals with physical disabilities and third gender taxpayers is Tk4.75 lakh, and war-injured individuals is Tk5 lakh.
