To ensure smooth travel for passengers during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, construction work on all roads will be halted seven days before Eid and will remain suspended for three days after it.
The announcement came at a meeting on Thursday morning, held to ensure hassle-free safe travel for people, at Bangladesh Road Transport Authority headquarters.
During the meeting, Road Transport and Highways Division Secretary ABM Amin Ullah Nuri said: “To maintain normal traffic flow, construction activities on all roads will be halted during Eid vacation. Construction materials must be removed from the roads."
