Al-Maghrib International School Academic Director and CEO Md Neazul Hoque recently unveiled its vision, challenges, and unique approach to education.

With a focus on blending Islamic values with the internationally acclaimed Cambridge curriculum, the school aims to become the leading premium Islamic institution in the country.

The vision of Al-Maghrib International School is to nurture students who are not only successful learners but also responsible citizens and contributors to the global community. Combining Islamic teachings with the Cambridge curriculum, the school aspires to produce graduates who excel in various fields, from medicine and engineering to religious leadership and philanthropy. Md Neazul Hoque emphasizes the school's role in filling a crucial gap in the market for integrated Islamic education in Bangladesh.

Establishing the school over the past year and a half has been a journey filled with challenges and triumphs, Md Neazul Hoque said.

Training teachers for the Cambridge Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) presented a significant hurdle, particularly given its novelty in Chittagong. However, through meticulous recruitment and training efforts, the school successfully enrolled 250 students within a year, garnering positive feedback from parents and the community.

What distinguishes Al-Maghrib International School from others is its unwavering commitment to the Cambridge curriculum, coupled with a unique approach to education. The school boasts state-of-the-art EYFS classrooms and employs play-based learning, a methodology aimed at holistic development and tailored to the needs of young learners. Moreover, the campus fosters an Islamic environment, offering students opportunities for congregational prayers during school hours and thematic weeks dedicated to Islamic values.

Parental involvement is paramount at Al-Maghrib International School, with regular meetings and informal communication channels ensuring effective collaboration in a child's education. Tarbiyah sessions and parental engagement activities further strengthen this partnership, emphasizing the importance of parental involvement in shaping a child's development.

In preparing students for the digital age, the school integrates technology into the curriculum, leveraging the Cambridge Curriculum's emphasis on design and technology from an early age. With a focus on equipping students with essential skills for the future, including coding and artificial intelligence awareness, Al-Maghrib International School ensures that its graduates are well-prepared to navigate the challenges of the modern world.

Extracurricular activities are seamlessly integrated into the school curriculum, with each month dedicated to specific themes aimed at fostering holistic development. From play zones and futsal areas to a well-stocked library, the school recognizes the importance of physical development in complementing academic learning, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education.
